Engineering Cooperative Program
QAL has a long-standing relationship with Central
Queensland University (CQU) and the Engineering Co-op Program demonstrates
one of the many positive outcomes from this mutually beneficial relationship.
Since 1996 QAL has hosted second and third year Engineering Co-operative
students. As part of the CQU Co-op degree, students must undertake
two six-month blocks of practical project training.
Professional Engineering Placement Semester
The University of Queensland (UQ) offers final year engineering students opportunity to participate in the PEPS (Professional Engineering Placement Semester) program. QAL works in conjunction with UQ to provide projects for PEPS students. PEPS students conduct project work and prepare an industry based thesis, which replaces Semester 1 of their 4th year studies.
